The Essex County Bar Association mourns the passing of George L. Schneider on March 29, 2025. Mr. Scheider was a long-time resident of Essex County and began is distinguinsed legal career with the Office of the Public Defender, Essex Trial Region in Newark. He also worked in the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office and served a five year term as the Essex County Prosecutor. After many years in public service he moved to private practice and worked first at the law firm of Zazzali & Zazzali and then with the law firm of Carella Byrne Bain & Gilfillan, Lorber, Schneider, Nuzzi, Vichness & Bilinkis and Genova Burns.
