Becker – Morristown, NJ Community Association Associate Position

We are currently seeking an associate attorney to join our dynamic team in Morristown, New Jersey. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dedicated, and seeking a collaborative environment that will provide opportunities for growth and advancement.

Responsibilities will touch upon all phases of representation of our community association clients and will include;

  • Drafting governing documents and contract work
  • Attendance at board meetings,
  • Coordinating board elections
  • Prosecution of delinquent association accounts, and when necessary, litigation, trial and/or appellate work.

 

The position will offer hybrid work flexibility and is based in Morristown, New Jersey.  Strong academic credentials; and demonstrated writing ability is required. One to three years of experience and a clerkship is preferred, however new graduates and applicants from current judicial clerks are welcome.  Member of the New Jersey Bar is required.  Salary commensurate with experience.

In Memorium – Howard G. Wachenfeld

The Essex County Bar Association mourns the passing of long time member Howard G. Wachenfeld, on January 26, 2025.  Mr. Wachenfeld was a highly respected member of the bar during his more than 65 year career and was a founding named partner of Tompkins, McGuire, Wachenfeld & Barry.  the 50 plus years of his legal career.  He served as Chair of the  ECBA Probate Committee from 1976-1979 and as Trustee from 1979-1982 in addition to many other legal organizations.
